fast response.
practical solutions.
Vertco is built around technically demanding hose requirements. Customers come to us when they need more than a standard catalogue part: difficult geometry, fast prototyping, low-volume service requirements, production components, or solutions to urgent supply problems.
We combine direct technical support with in-house tooling, testing and UK manufacture, giving customers a shorter route from requirement to working product.
DIRECT ACCESS TO
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
Our team has more than 100 years of combined industrial hose-manufacturing experience. Customers can speak directly with people who understand materials, tooling, hose construction, and production, whether the starting point is a sketch, drawing, 3D CAD file, or existing component.
PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT
IN DAYS, NOT WEEKS
In-house engineering and tooling let us move quickly when a project is in the development stage. We can produce prototype tooling, manufacture parts for fit and function, test the hose and refine the design without relying on a chain of external suppliers.
Where it helps the project, prototype or development parts can be delivered personally so our team can engage with engineers on site.
FLEXIBLE ORDER
QUANTITIES
Not every requirement starts with a large production order. Vertco supports prototype quantities, one-off specials, small service batches and production runs in the hundreds, making it easier to develop a new product or maintain an in-service application without committing to unnecessary volume.
COMPLEX HOSE
ENGINEERING.
Our capability extends beyond conventional hose shapes. Vertco can manufacture hoses from 6 mm to 250 mm bore, including large-bore, complex-shaped, multi-leg and significant step-bore designs.
Our patented fibre-reinforced extrusion process supports highly flexible constructions, strong vacuum resistance and one-piece branched hoses. Integrated sensor mounts, bleed valves, connectors and other fittings can also be incorporated where the application requires them.
FEWER JOINTS.
FEWER POTENTIAL
LEAK PATHS.
Where a conventional assembly might use several hoses, connectors and clips, a one-piece homogeneous hose can simplify the assembly. This can reduce installation time and remove potential leak paths created by multiple connections.
IN-HOUSE CONTROL
AND TESTING
Key stages are managed at our UK facility, including tooling, hose manufacture, pressure testing and vacuum testing. This gives us greater control over development, quality and lead times, backed by an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system.
RESPONSIVE WHEN
SUPPLY MATTERS
A missing component can stop a production line. We understand the commercial impact of delay and can respond quickly when customers face an urgent requirement or a problem with an existing supplier. We aim to establish the fastest practical route to a reliable part and keep the customer producing.
PROVEN ACROSS
DEMANDING APPLICATIONS
Vertco has long-term supply experience across construction, agriculture, mining, power generation, marine, automotive, commercial vehicle and industrial-engine markets. Our development work also includes specialist hoses for OAT coolant, AdBlue, electric-vehicle battery-pack cooling and hydrogen fuel-cell applications.
BRING US
THE REQUIREMENT.
If you have a hose that is difficult to source, a new application to develop, or a supply issue that needs solving, send us the information you have. We will review the requirement and tell you what is practical, what we would recommend and the next step towards prototype or production.
